Uniprint Instructions

Printing on the new printers in campus libraries:

From a Windows machine:

  1. After you select "print" to print the desired document, a menu will pop up.
  2. Enter your userid (NETID), and then, if you wish, though it is not necessary, you can make up a password for added security (to insure that no one else will print your job accidentally).
  3. Go to the PHAROS Print Release Station, and type in your userid (NETID) and Princeton NT password, which may differ from your e-mail password.*
  4. At the Release station highlight your document and click print. If you have created an optional password, this is when you will enter it.

From a Macintosh

  1. Connect to \\firedom either from PRINCETON or a LIBSTAFF registered machine with a valid Princeton netid or Libstaff username.
  2. You will see a list of shares. Print queues are displayed as shares.
  3. Select the WalkinHP queue and use this queue as your printer;
  4. Submit your print job.
  5. Go to the PHAROS Print Release Station, and type in your userid (NETID) and Princeton NT password, which may differ from your e-mail password.*
  6. At the Release station highlight your document and click print. If you have created an optional password, this is when you will enter it.
